Surviving graduate school
Currently in the doctoral program at Indiana University's School of Informatics, my interests are somewhere in the intersection between complex systems, human-computer interaction design, and social informatics. I am currently working on theoretical projects trying to find overlaps between HCI and complexity, as well as integrating a relational-cultural theory perspective on design. I am also heavily involved with research about Twitter and use of technology for local benefit.

50Twitter Census: Publishing the First of Many DatasetsIf Twitter doesn't challenge this, these datasets could spark some development of longitudinal applications to examine personal histories. I'd love to get a weekly synopsis of what Twitter remembers me doing 1 and 2 years ago at this time of year. A great chance for reflection.Kevin Makice added to Twitter Guide 9 days ago
