I am a film, TV, and pop culture historian. I love movies and TV, both old and new. I know the stars, directors, and movies of my lifetime very well. I tend to focus on the 1960s to present day.

I am researching and testing out social networks and related free services for my own personal use. I am far from being an expert on the subject. I just want to learn more about them by doing.

myLot.com pays its users a few pennies for using the site. There are lots of wizards and suggestions to better expand user profiles and increase interacton by users.

A great networking site that attracts primarily bloggers. One a few that actually has some working Friend of a Friend FOAF functionality. Has vcards for members that can be imported into your address book/email application

Flickr is almost certainly the best online photo management and sharing application in the world. Show off your favorite photos and videos to the world, securely and privately show content to your friends and family, or blog the photos and videos you take with a cameraphone.

Listphile is one of the many beta services that I like. Unfortunately, it is often down and still very buggy.

Flickr filled in most of this info automatically. I love Flickr for all the things it already does and it keeps evolving. Lots of intelligent and creative people to be found on Flickr.

I haven't updated here as much as I would like to due to numerous outages. Pages don't always update or won't save. Requires more patience than I am willing to give.
