i've always loved living near the ocean, i think it's that i have too much water running though my veins, i've never cared for the cold, but i do love the cool days of the fall when the shadows begin to extend and the leaves change. if you've ever stood by the ocean in the fall you can taste and smell this cornucopia of life, that just seems to get jumbled up during all the other seasons. i live a very spiritual life, have practiced zen for twenty years, love the words of rumi, the beliefs of sufi and the interconnectedness of life. Even so I have found that what is most important is not what we believe, but how we live our lives and that we are true to who we say we are. i love laughter, bad jokes, smiling, watching my sons grow, telling people i love them. living now and letting the past be just that. i love church bells on sunday morning, standing in a cold mountain stream fly fishing, discovering new interests, reading the many books that line my walls and music that moves the soul. i believe in keeping healthy and fit both physically and mentally. mostly i enjoy living life and all that it has to offer
skills:
searer of tuna, fly fisherman of small streams and dreams, wanderer, napper and dreamer, reader of large volumous books, philosopher of one, thrower of metal balls, rider with no breaks, photographer of pretty things, collector of found objects, organizer of ephemera, chief bottle washer, metta tester.

Whether Kannon, Kuan Yin, Tara, and on and on,whether male, female it is only to share ... -

How to read Mayan Heiroglyphics
Comment added by dharmabox on 06/14/2008I enjoy following the Tzolkin calendar and the Mayan long count so this was a real treat, thank you. I wish I had caught the Nova program on Cracking the Maya Code, but it looks like they'll have a program on the Inca Civilization coming in July. Both were very advanced and amazing civilizations. -
Buddhist Teachers Make Their Own Limits in a Spiritual Partnership - New York Times
Comment added by dharmabox on 06/14/2008Al the link is very interesting and very welcome, so thank you for sharing it. The Buddha himself said question your masters. Links such as this, and open dialog on them is good for us all, and I believe is very much inline with the spirit of twine.
