Back from a GREAT DEFCON!!
Something you don't know about me: See the DEFCON home page and Dark Tangent's forum, plus the current issue of Wired and a recent VentureBeat post.
David's Internet-related activities have been featured as far back as February 1994 in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, the Voice of America, Wired, and over a dozen other dailies and trades. A graduate of the accelerated MBA program at Stanford Business School and the Senior Executives program at Harvard Law School, he has held senior marketing, business development and strategic planning positions at Microsoft, Oracle, and Samsung, and was VP, E-Business Strategies, for the world's fourth largest IT advisory service, the META Group (acquired by Gartner). David is a founding member of the Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forum Executive Committee; former editor of IEEE's high tech management magazine (1986-1994); chaired the internet and web agents session during the First International Conference on Autonomous Agents; and, attended his first IJCAI conference before California was a state. He has resided in China for the past four years with affiliations to the outsourcing hub for Tsinghua University (China's MIT), a couple of China-based IT outsourcing leaders and even a company in the solar power sector (where he currently plays); he hopes that if there is a purgatory, he'll get credit for time lived in China. He writes the "Letter from China" column for the AlwaysOn Network (arguably the largest professional and social online network in Silicon Valley) and Sand Hill Group (the largest network serving the enterprise software C-level suite and CIOs), and is a "Contributing Author" to SemanticReport.com. This May he moderated the "Rising Stars of the Semantic Web" keynote/panel at the Semantic Technology Conference 2008 in San Jose.

Something you didn't know about me ...Since Hrafn always meant this to be a social network for Twine Power Users (and I, along with Nova) were the first two co-admins invited by Hrafn, here's something I might as well share: Guess what, I'm the real David Lightman (well, as close as there is to a real David Lightman) -- as in the movie, ...
