Why should I use "twine"?
Public
There are so many other similar "things" such as del.icio.us, xing, linkedin, facebook, whatever...
They all have lots of menbers and contain a lot of information.
Twine is just at the start, providing very little data and very few people.
So why - as an earthling not related to the creators of twine - should I leave any of the other networks and start using twine?
This is not meant as a twine-bashing twine but to learn and collect arguments.

More reasonsI was hoping that a few "insiders" would jump in and provide a list of good reasons for switching to Twine. So far, there is very little echo. What can I do to get attention from the insiders? Or is it that there are no good reasons.... ;-)

And it's asking more than leaving your other hang-outs(30 mins in) For Twine to work, you have to be able to import all the information you've put elsewhere (delicious, etc) into here. I don't really fancying starting from scratch. And I also don't want to duplicate things until Twine creates the planned import features. Hmm.

Why indeed?I suppose in truth, this is my bigest question in even signing up for the beta and trying to navigate around the service. I am largely interested in how this additional connection layer will (a) help connect me to a community of interest (I live in a rather cut-off area) (b) solidify some ...

A good reasonA good reason for me is that a valuable friend of mine is a developer of twine and since I don't believe he would do anything stupid or useless, I am here and try :-)

Why indeed?good thought, todocontexto, even if i live in the populated Bay area, i hope that this service will effectively help me 'twine' my other services into one spot. maybe that is not the intention but that would be an ideal for use of my time.rosemarie added 17 months ago

More reasonsI think Twine is going to be Big thing. I believe Semantic Web as the next change in Internet. It automates the tags for the documents, in turn making it easy to search information and share among people. Its simple so i use itRaghu Kumar Reddy Ariga added 20 months ago

More reasonsI think I'm getting it! I had read about Twine's semantic analysis, but when I first started, I didn't see much I could not already get from del.icio.us and other "tagging" sites. The "secret sauce" I found is that twine assigns additional tags, beyond the ones you initially use. Once Twine ...crispy added 20 months ago

More reasonsThere are many good reasons, but still one limitation to switch : the import features (planned but not implemented), as someone said in this twine. This is a priority (collect bookmarks)... Some of the good reasons : * easy as a wiki, and more powerful if you consider self-tagging and ...facyla added 20 months ago
