SIOC: Semantically-Interlinked Online Communities
Public
The SIOC initiative is aiming the enabling the integration of such online social community information. SIOC provides a Semantic Web ontology to describe such online communities, and several tools that translate community information from weblogs, forums, and mailing lists into RDF using the SIOC vocabulary.
By becoming a standard way for expressing user-created content from the Social Web in RDF, SIOC enables new kinds of usage for online community site data and lets new kinds of semantic applications to be built on top of the existing Social Web.
