Music can be a catalyst for learning and behavior modification. Current research (Altenmuller, Gruhn, Parlitz, & Kahrs, as cited in Weinberger, 1997; Elbert, Pantev, Wienbruch, Rockstroh, & Taub, 1995; Malyarenko et al., 1996; Pantev, Oostenveld, Engelien, Ross, Roberts, & Hoke, 1998; ScNaug, Jancke, Huang, Staiger, & Steinmetz, 1995) demonstrates that music has a positive impact on student learning and achievement.
