    I know a guy hear who does advocacy for the homeless, among many other good deeds. I will suggest your idea to him. And actually they don't usually leave them on the bike path. They usually park them in the underbrush or sink them in the creek.

    Too bad there isn't some kind of recovery service like they have for baggage carts at the airport. Deposit $1 to get a cart, return it and get your dollar back.     From personal experience, I can say that our local homeless citizens seem to be able to get shopping carts to locations far removed from their sources, thanks to our wonderful bike paths. Apparently, dead-heading carts back to their sources is deemed inefficient;-)

    or a study by supermarkets :) or - if online - the true strays are when te teenagers got caught, the false strays are when the wannabe hackers got cught, the ones underwater are when the real hackers got caught :)

    I was amazed at the work that must have gone into this project. But it is such a universal phenomena. This must be product of a doctoral dissertation on urban behavior or something.
