Comment added by Wolfgang Heller on 10/27/2008My experience of household robots is limited to a vaccumcleaner from Electrolux that cost US$ 1400:- worked fine i three years, but now needs two new batteries for US$ 250:- I wonder what the batteries for a 8 hour working household robot will cost per year. -

Comment added by JDP on 10/22/2008Hmmm - Japan may be turning from the US for a bulwark against China (military, economic, or otherwise), in light to the US debt to China. This may be a smart move for Japan with India being the largest democracy in Asia and one could help "bookend" China both economically and militarily .
