Brains & minds: sciences of thinking, learning, understanding & reasoning
87
Public
A twine focused on the scientific understanding of the human mind and thought, including learning, memory, attention, rationality, emotions, creativity, decision making, heuristics, and cognitive biases, drawing from disciplines such as cognitive science, neuroscience, genetics, artificial intelligence, decision theory, learning theory, and mathematics (e.g., logic, probability & Bayesian inference).
New results from the sciences are especially welcome (primary sources as well as popular explanations for a general, educated audience), as are intelligent blog posts on any of the above topics, as well as scientifically informed approaches to improving thought, learning, memory, creativity, etc. and reducing cognitive biases and errors.
