Structure
Public
Classification, composition, decomposition, analysis, synthesis, ontologies, metadata, tagging and all other activities that go into making raw data into a navigable, intelligible whole add obvious value. This is sold but is usually bundled with annotation or other 'value added' activities (magazines, blogs). How do we value just the structuring part itself. Clearly it performs a surfacing function, it saves other people time if done well (& vice versa) It is valuable only if useful.
