New Device Prints Human Tissue | LiveScience
Description
Invetech has delivered what it calls the "world's first production model 3D bio-printer" to Organovo, developers of the proprietary NovoGen bioprinting technology. Organovo will in turn supply the devices to institutions investigating human tissue repair and organ replacement.

Keith Murphy, CEO of Organovo, based in San Diego, said the units represent a breakthrough because they provide for the first time a flexible technology platform for organizations working on many different types of tissue construction and organ replacement.

Yes, evolution - both the "dumb" run of chance, and the response / feedback of organisms and the environment - has and continues to lead to marvelous creations. Indeed, it appears that choice is likely a fundamental aspect of reality (see http://www.twine.com/item/11zv56j7p-2kh6/slashdot-do-subatomic-particles-have-free-will and http://www.twine.com/item/11fyxcp8r-106/a-new-marriage-of-brain-and-computer-why-the-singularity-is-bogus), existing from the most elementary fields and particles up through the most complex systems and life. Hence, evolution benefits and operates not only from chance and complex feedback, but also via the multitude and aggregate of those choices made by all past and existing entities. In such a rich reality, there need be no other "guidance" or creator!
