      My take on the podcast was relatively positive as far as RDF is concerned. acknowledged that in trying to be flexible and broad it poses challenges in terms of understanding and adoption. However there are no emerging alternatives.

        I would say that the answer to your question is yes. RDF is too complicated to get serious traction; however, the LOD initiative is a leaner and meaner version of the semantic web that is gaining traction and shows a lot of potential.
