        I believe Mr. Specter refers to vaccines in general. My question to him would be more about the unintended consequences of scientific tampering at the genetic level, but certainly the economic consequences (i.e, the profits of drug companies) must also be considered. There are also ethical ramifications to the near epidemics of diseases like measles that result when parents refuse to have their children vaccinated because of beliefs that are not founded on empirical evidence.
