Aussie author uses Facebook to fight crime

Australian author Marianne Delacourt has come up with a novel way to keep readers vying for more of her latest character during the long wait between books.
The social media revolution has become such a phenomenon that it was only time before those in the literature world started using it in creative ways to promote their work.
Delacourt, who also writes science fiction under the name Marianne de Pierres, has chosen Facebook as her social media weapon.
Her plan is to keep the audience engaged between books by getting them to help her new character, reluctant heroine Tara Sharp, solve a whodunit.
"It's really hard to wait a whole year for your favourite character to come out in book form again and it's really nice to interact with them between times," she said.
