      Hello,

      We have come across your post on twine in which you have used copyrighted images and would like to address a few issues. We are glad to see that you wanted to share Peter Menzel and Faith D'Aluisio's book "Hungry Planet: What the World Eats" images. We ask that you credit the photo properly and also add a link to www.menzelphoto.com.

      It's great to see people benefiting from these images but we would like to be properly credited. The credit that should be posted on the blog under the image is:

          Hello,

          I am the editor of Brain Pickings and apologize for this situation. Ion, I don't know who you are, but I assume you're an admin at PicoCool (where the Brain Pickings article was featured) and I think Jennie was requesting changes on the original article on Brain Pickings. (Though, admittedly, I would've seen that request much sooner had it been posted as a comment to the original article or emailed to the blog editors via our Contact link, rather than found here literally by fluke.)

          Jennie: I have added the appropriate copyright information and now all images click through to menzelphoto.com. It goes without saying that I have tremendous respect for the authors' work on the book (if we have featured it on Brain Pickings in the first place), so no harm was ever meant.

          Best,

          // maria
