Description

Intermountain Rural Electric Association (IREA) turns off 17% of all Paper Bills in 12 months

Striata Email Bill Presentment and Payment, in partnership with Western Union Global Payment Services, has enabled IREA to suppress four times more paper bills than the industry average, in a third of the time.

[Sedalia, Colorado, September 2009] - IREA replaces 17% of all paper bills with Striata Email Bills and radically reduces average time to pay.

Intermountain Rural Electric Association is one of the largest and fastest-growing electric distribution cooperatives in the United States. A 5,000-square-mile service territory includes all or parts of ten counties to the east, west and south of the Denver metro area and west of Colorado Springs.

Early in 2008, with no eBilling and no customer email addresses on file, IREA selected the Striata / Western Union partnership to provide them with a full service electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) solution. Today IREA is an industry leader among utilities in terms of eBill adoption and paper suppression.
