CONGRESS IS ABOUT TO CUT EETT BY 63% -- TELL YOUR SENATOR “NO” TO THIS SENSELESS CUT!
Last week, the House of Representatives’ Appropriations subcommittee approved a 63% cut in the Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) Program. If this cut becomes law, it will leave many school districts without funding for hardware, software and technology professional development, placing our students at a distinct skills and knowledge disadvantage when they enter the 21st century job market.
TELL YOUR SENATOR TO PREVENT THESE DEVASTATING CUTS.
The Senate is expected to act on the FY2010 budget on July 22. Act now to ensure that there is no drop-off in federal education technology in FY2010!
It is especially critical that we contact U.S. Senators from the following states who will review the cuts to the EETT budget:
Senator Tom Harkin – Iowa
Senator Daniel Inouye – Hawaii
Senator Herb Kohl – Wisconsin
Senator Patty Murray – Washington State
Senator Mary Landrieu – Arkansas
Senator Richard Durbin – Illinois
Senator Jack Reed – Rhode Island
Senator Mark Pryor – Arkansas
Senator Arlen Specter – Pennsylvania
Senator Thad Cochran – Mississippi
Senator Judd Gregg – New Hampshire
Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison – Texas
Senator Richard Shelby – Alabama
