      I am curious if anyone has done something similar with Salt. My wife is pregnant and has high blood pressure and the doctor has put her on a no salt diet. After only one trip to the grocery store I am amazed by some of the things that are sky high in salt.

      Some things that many consider good and wholesome such as Campbells soups often have 80% of a persons maximum daily recommended salt intake in HALF a can. Having cut way back on salt, and mostly cooking from fresh ingredients at home, it's also surprising how salty many things taste these days. It's a question of adjusting your palate - the same with sugar too. You can get used to a lot less sugar and salt in your diet, but it takes 3-4 weeks to do it. You have to persevere!
