E-Science, Semantic Computing and the Cloud

Description

E-Science and eResearch is moving to semantic technologies and cloud computing. Here is link to a small collection of presentations about semantic processing issues from a recent "eResearch" conference, e.g. semantics at scale, harvesting annotations, semantic blogjects, semantic spreadsheets, etc.  It includes  a life sciences example of the kind of Google-esque non-transactional semantic-processing-at-scale architecture that Scott Streit has built into Blackbook 2.

Also, there is a presentation by Tony Hey from Microsoft Research. Well worth a look.
