Frederic Sebton: Mamebook cocktail

Description

I went to IKEA today and picked up a RAMVIK sideboard to turn the Mamebook into a proper Cocktail Cabinet. Made all the measurements:


I made the hole sligthly bigger than the Mamebook to allow for the power and USB cables:


Since the Mamebook is 9 mm thicker than the top shelf I had to create spacers, thank god you won't see this when the cabinet is assembled. I truly suck at carpentry...


To cover the ugly bits, I just cut a piece of black cardboard, here seen under the top glass.

The drawer holding the joystick is in place. I'll replace the drawer later with a proper control panel once I figure out how.
