How do I use the bookmarklet tool?

Get Feed

First, add the bookmarklet to your browser. We explain how to do that [http://www.twine.com/tools]

Then, whenever you come across something online – any item that you want to save to one of your twines – you can click on Add to Twine in your browser’s toolbar and the item will be added to Twine.

It works on photos, videos, entire web pages, articles, products… you name it. This is the easiest way to fill your twines with relevant, topical items.

you have the choice of "twines you are a member of and have permission to contribute to", connections and/or emails when bookmarking into twine.

Above help link leads to this in my browser:

Today’s Error Message Horoscope: Your sense of adventure will take you to mysterious new places – and pages – that don’t even exist. Fortunately, a friend will help you get back on the right path.
Here's area few ideas to help you find the page you're really looking for:
Look at the URL and make sure it's correct.
If you are just snooping around directories, find something better to do!

lol--looks like help is a little "Frayed" these days...

yeah, this may be the basic bookmarklet induced "frayed" message.

we are optimistic about a fix rolling out in the next release.

The new bookmarklet doesn't render properly in Chrome. It's pretty much unusable since the textboxes containing the info cover the list of twines that I need to select from.

[Edit/Clarification] - It seems that this applies specifically to Codeplex.com - maybe they have some css styles that conflict with yours? For now I just have the new and old bookmarklets for when the new one doesn't work right.

There is a new bug with respect to items date: seems now that everything I post was added "1 hour ago".
[Update: this one may be gone: after saving this comment, I see it posted "1 minute ago", which looks fine. Not sure the bug is gone when posting bookmarks.]

I confirm what Dirq said: the latest version of the bookmarklet doesn''t work with Chrome. The previous version of the advanced bookmarklet is no longer available. The previous version of the standard bookmarklet still works but not exactly as before: for instance it now takes very long if your list of twines is long and you want to share something with a Twine that starts with a W... You now have to scroll down the whole list. The ladder that enabled you before to go straight down to the end of the list is gone. Guess I'll have to switch back to Firefox for a while:)

how do you select only specific twines to share an item with using the bookmarklet?

Just figured this out: After you click on the Add to Twine toolbar button a rectangular black box comes up and you have to click on Share This Item. From there you can select a specific twine. It doesn't explain this anywhere that I've been looking on twine.
