Twine Can Process Email Attachments

Get Feed
You can attach documents to an email and post them into Twine. Twine will create a separate attached object for each document it sees. In addition, for Microsoft Office and PDF documents, Twine will also extract tags from the content and tag to the objects that are created.

Is there a way to access the individual object (attached) without going through the email post first? I don't seem to be able to access a given attached object directly, for example by searching on its title, or searching for a tag that it includes. When Twine captures the email, all documents attached become objects attached to this one twine entry. I can access the email post using twine search and navigation. When I click on an attached object, I can edit its description and tags.

Well... at the moment I cannot send any emails to twine :-( I have no idea why; the pretty succinct error message of the system simply says "There was a problem sending your email to a twine: Unexpected internal error. We apologize for the inconvenience!" which is not really helpful in trying to find what the problem might be:-(

Ah! I found the bug. And it is a twine bug (I will also report it on the mailing list, but one of the twine guys may read it here). If the mail is sent in such way that the email address appears as

        Sometext

then it goes wrong. The email address must be ivanherman@post.twine.com only.

The reason I got the problematic version is because I put the twine addresses into my Thunderbird's address list with some nickname...

You use T-Bird too, eh? Although I'm not a big fan of Redmond, I have to admit that the one product where MS absolutely kicks butt is with Microsoft Outlook (not Outlook Express). T-Bird is disappointing -- but I like the price!!

Can't wait until Google FINALLY gets Gears to work with Gmail. I just hope it can handle multiple Gmail accounts and download ALL messages, with a client that looks and feels EXACTLY like the online version. I also want it to work with GTD, RTM (Remember the Milk), and all my cute Better Gmail and CustomizeGoogle options.

Actually, I do not know. My problem was related to the fact that the 'From' field in the email header had other things than the raw email address (essentially, the name or nickname of the addressee)

Nova, see this Twine item: http://tinyurl.com/2wfwtl . Only one "Other tag," so there was almost no extraction of tags from the content.
