Polylogue

Poly- many + Logos

The term polylogue applies to hyperconnectivity in the same sense that conversation applies to connectivity.

Communication between two or more minds in an hyperconnected situation implies a multidimensional connection, including hypertexts, comments, connections to other conversations and may include images, links to articles, videos and so on, a polylogue can and generally does happen simultaneously on many planes of the net.

Wiki says the following: Any living language is constantly changing [1] with words developing as the need arises. The word polylogue comes from the words poly and dialogue. One concept is that for a number of threads of conversation, such as occurs on a blog or wiki site, the word polylogue more correctly expresses the communication that occurs. A number of dialogues occur simultaneously, hence the composite term, polylogue.
