Something you didn't know about me ...

Since Hrafn always meant this to be a social network for Twine Power Users (and I, along with Nova) were the first two co-admins invited by Hrafn, here's something I might as well share:  Guess what, I'm the real David Lightman (well, as close as there is to a real David Lightman) -- as in the movie, WarGames.

See this Wired article, and info regarding my upcoming fireside chat at DEFCON this Saturday.  DEFCON is "the world's largest annual hacker convention."

I'll also be a judge during Sunday's "Race to Zero" contest, a contest to modify/develop malcode that can defeat the greatest number of name brand firewalls and anti-malware software.  BTW, "race to zero" -- as in zero-day exploits.  I'll be announcing that I've launched a new blog focused on zero-day defense during my fireside chat.

Yep, this is the me that you never knew.  The real "David L. Lightman".

BTW, I asked Nova if I could start a DEFCON twine, invite the 6,000 DEFCON attendees.  For some reason, Nova wasn't too thrilled by this idea!!  ;-)

Note: The attachment is a backgrounder article that appeared several years ago.  I'm having dinner with the author tomorrow (Wednesday) night after the Black Hat reception.
