      I quite enjoyed V for Vendetta (though not as good as the book), Minority Report (not read the book) and Starship Troopers (not read the book).

        I agree, don't think the movies were that bad. But I haven't read the books either, so I should to that and than watch the movies again.

      Starship Troopers was a great book, clever and ironic.
      The movie did not do it justice and if not for using Blur's Song #2 in the trailers I doubt I would have even gone and seen it.

      Oh John!! other than being glorification of war (can't blame Heinlein) Starship Troopers is a fantastic book, with little connect to the movie.

      For a really great book, that is the greatest satire send up of the military, try Harry Harrison's Bil the Galactic Hero. So funny!

      Big Failure in movies is The Postman. David Brin's book is SO much better than the movie!!

        I have read the book and was dissppointed in the ending. I lthought the rest of the book was top-notch. . I think the move is a real classic and watch it again every time it come on the TV. Yes it is different from the book, but that is OK with me. And I have loved all of the otehr David Brin books that I have read.

      Costner = snooze as a rule..IMO.
      I was watching a rerun of The Red Green Show the other day and Graham Greene was on it, his line "the native guy should have got the Oscar" has always rang true..
